"Hide me from day's garish eye". Milton

The photographs on this page make use of a veil.  It is almost a cliché but I still like the contrast of the diaphanous covering faintly obscuring the powerful body beneath.  The veil can symbolize restrictions and is meant for concealment. It becomes a metaphor for clothing, which usually serves to conceal our selves from others and even ourselves and to present an image we control to the world. Of course in this case no true concealment is possible.
