I am just beginning to do some digital work and do not have a clear vision of what I want to accomplish, so except for correcting errors, scratches, and minor touch ups, I am mainly going for spectacular visual effects and am using currently available photographs to work on rather than making pictures specifically for digital work. My work is done mostly with Paint Shop Pro by JASC which is a full featured graphic editor at an attractive price. I do have other tools I use: Ifranview, MS Picture It!, and MGI Photo Suite III.
